Our past rescues
Welcome to Schnauzer Paws Rescue, a small 501(c)(3) organization formed for the specific purpose of rescuing and re-homing Miniature and Giant Schnauzers, both pure bred and mixes.  Based in Ware, Massachusetts, this rescue is run by experienced and dedicated volunteers who foster dogs in their homes and do all the work it takes to successfully foster and place dogs surrendered to their care.

All donations and adoption fees are spent on the care of the dogs that come into the rescue.  Although these dogs are placed throughout New England, they will not be shipped.  Schnauzer Paws Rescue receives dogs from owners for various reasons, i.e., divorce, death, relocation, lack of time, neglect.  We also occasionally receive dogs that were dropped off at shelters or picked up as strays.  The dogs' ages vary, but the majority are middle aged. All dogs are carefully matched to adoption applicants.

An adoption application and reference checks are required, as is an adoption fee.  All dogs are spayed/neutered prior to placement, assuming the dog is old enough.  All adopters will be required to sign an adoption contract agreeing to keep the dog as a house pet and return it to Schnauzer Paws Rescue if for any reason the adopter is unable to keep the dog.

As a 100% volunteer and non-profit organization, contributions are always appreciated, and are spent directly on the veterinary care of the dogs, including spaying, neutering and medication.  All of our funds come  from donations, adoption fees and our own pockets.  If you would like to  make a donation, please contact us through the e-mail or P.O. Box listed above.
